I dropped in and ordered and came back to pick up, the food was all amazing and the prices are so reasonable. Portion sizes are very generous and the spiciness is good but not too much. We'll definitely be back and I would absolutely recommend to others.

Tyne Taste has only been open since January 2025. A mum and daughter operation - apologies for not asking their names - with mum in the kitchen and daughter front of house, last night we, as a group of four ageing adults, enjoyed a delightful Thai dining experience sitting outside. A beer from the adjacent club was an added bonus with the two businesses obviously working well together. The menu is extensive, the quality of ingredients and cooking are top rate and the portions generous. Meals are cooked to order with care taken to establish the level of spiciness diners prefer and lots of advice on what to select. Chef mum sought feedback after we'd finished eating - so wise for a new enterprise. If I lived locally rather than just being a visitor to Longbenton, I would work my way through the entire menu, placing my order before taking the Metro and ensuring I had cash in my bag to pay! Tyne Taste deserves to be successful

The best Thai food in Newcastle hands down. The massamam curry was so fragrant and the chicken kra pau had incredible flavour and heat. Just amazing. So authentic you’ll not find better. The two little bosses were brilliant too, helped me choose some delicious spring rolls.

Hands down the best Thai food around! The lovely lady in the kitchen is an amazing cook – every dish is full of flavour and made with so much care. You can tell she really knows her stuff. Always fresh, tasty, and leaves you wanting more. Can’t recommend Tyne Taste enough!

The best Thai food i've had outside of thailand. As authentic as it comes, very generous portions and prices. Great service, extremely friendly and accomodating. We rang our order in ahead of time (recommended), but there is a small outdoor seating area if the weather is nice. We'll be back again and again!

Very authentic and delicious Thai food. We ordered Som Tum salad and the Pad Ka Prao (chicken) for takeaway. Both were excellent and packed with high quality ingredients. I recommend pre-ordering as there can be a wait if you turn up randomly. We typically would go to Thai House Cafe or Mantra if in city centre so it's great to have such a good Thai locally. Will be back :-)
